You could not help but like Art Linkletter. One of the first TV shows I remember watching ( besides The 3 Stooges and cartoons) was House Party. Mom had it on every weekday afternoon. My favorite bit was "Kids Say The Darndest Things".From his dirt poor upbringing he rose to become a household name and one of the most popular hosts on television. He was truly a class act. I always liked Linkletter, and Skelton, too.
Agree with the Don, both class acts. Had the honor of meeting Mr.Skelton in the late 70's.
Fav Linkletter kids say, a little boy was asked what animal had would like to be. Reply- octipus, because he could wrap his testicals around everyone.

I loved that show because even as a kid I realised it was good and more real or whatever to have black children on the show.
