Imagine What Fox News Would Say

Sound familiar?

I think that's probably the longest continuous JFK speech clips I've seen - lots of sound bites and mélanges, but not too many long passages. I think I choked a little bit when I heard him say Woodrow Wilson was a great President.

Though as you know none would accuse me of being a Democrat, I have generally held HST and JFK in high regard (I have a Dymo label on the back of my name bar on my desk at work that reads "The buck stops here"). There's of course no end to speculation of what might've been had LHO not permanently altered history in Dealey Plaza that November day - certainly Kennedy embodied and evoked the optimism and confidence of an ascendant nation.

Unfortunately, his Machiavellian successor, IMO, bastardized the party. Sans Watergate, it's arguable that a Pax Republicana could've existed for a generation or longer, without the interruption of WH hospice worker JEC. Though at the time I had the same visceral reaction to WJC as many had had earlier to RMN, hindsight suggests that Willy saved/revived the D party, a favor apparently lost on the current WH occupant.
