I got through college on Weinhard's (from the Grapevine Safeway), as well as the occasional six pack of Schlitz or Shaefer when money was really tight.
Given my druthers, for regular beer drinking with food (burgers, BBQ, Arizona Mex), I really liked the original Killian's Red Ale.
Maybe they were out of Henry Weinhard's?
